Leading cue-sports suppliers Cue + Case reached out when they decided to explore how to enhance the player experience when buying new cues, and to offer appropriate and practical advice on how to care for it.

STEP 1

First we looked at the actual preparation of the cue.

Most players are familiar with the standard factory finish of commercially produced cues, and the generic tips which of course do not suit everyone.

The Collaboration involves a number of cue models coming through our workshop for final preparation and finish before being offered for sale.

The cues are inspected, and hand refinished including final treatment with Lynch's Cuebalm, for a professional super smooth natural feel through the bridging hand.

The factory tip is removed, and high quality branded tip is hand fitted.

Current cue batches are being fitted with the Baizemaster Pro Impact HYBRID tip in Medium.

STEP 2

To assist in keeping their cue in tip top condition each owner receives a Mini tin of Lynch's Cuebalm with which to treat the cue for up to 6 months with appropriate use.

Instructions, and lots of excellent practical cue-care advice are also provided in the form of a handy little Cue Care Tips booklet !

My thoughts

Absolutely one of the best initiatives Ive seen from a cue brand !

Everyone I've worked with on this project has been enthused and keen to learn the best advice that could be included for their customers !

The vision was to offer a choice of off-the-shelf cues, hand prepare & tipped, and totally ready to play at any level - plus amazing practical assistance to look after it appropriately.
